Welcome to the Pura Vida Souqs Nature Journal

A Weekly Dose of Nature

Where design meets the living world

Welcome to A Weekly Dose of Nature — the nature journal of Pura Vida Souqs.

This journal is a space where we share the natural inspiration behind Pura Vida Souqs — the animals, plants, and landscapes that influence our designs.

Our brand is shaped by two places: Costa Rica 🇨🇷 and the United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪.

Costa Rica is known for its extraordinary biodiversity — from tropical rainforests and vibrant wildlife to an exceptional network of protected areas.

The United Arab Emirates, often associated with vast desert landscapes, is also home to remarkable ecosystems such as coastal mangroves, desert wildlife habitats, and important migratory bird routes.

Both places inspire the ideas behind our designs.

Why this journal exists

Nature plays a central role in the story of Pura Vida Souqs.

With this journal, we want to share more about the wildlife, plants, and ecosystems that inspire our work. Some entries will focus on species found in Costa Rica or the UAE, while others will explore protected areas, conservation initiatives, and the people working to protect these environments.

Over time, this journal will grow into a collection of stories from nature — a place to discover the living world behind our designs.

Supporting conservation

Protecting nature requires real action.
That is why Pura Vida Souqs integrates conservation support directly into its business model.

Through our sales we aim to support conservation work connected to Costa Rica.

To keep this simple and transparent:

  • $8 from every T-shirt sold is allocated to conservation initiatives
  • 5% of all other product sales are also directed toward supporting these efforts

We are planning to collaborate with ASVO – the Association of Volunteers for Service in Protected Areas, founded on January 27, 1989.

ASVO works with volunteers and environmental organizations to support protected areas in Costa Rica. Their activities include habitat protection, biodiversity monitoring, environmental education, and support for national parks and conservation projects.

Our role as a brand is not to act as an environmental organization ourselves, but to create a system where business activity can help support real conservation work.

What you can expect here

Every week we will share a short entry about nature.

Topics may include:

  • wildlife from Costa Rica’s rainforests
  • desert and coastal ecosystems of the UAE
  • unique plant species
  • protected areas and conservation initiatives

Think of it as a weekly dose of nature.

Looking ahead

As this journal grows, we are also developing a new project that connects technology, education, and biodiversity.

By the end of the year, we plan to launch an educational app for students, schools, and universities. The platform will use interactive games and exploration to make learning about plants, animals, and ecosystems more engaging.

At the center of the app will be an AI agent that acts as a digital guide, helping users discover biodiversity through interactive learning and game-based experiences.

Our vision is to make learning about nature more accessible and inspiring for the next generation.

More details about this project will be shared here in the journal as it develops.

Nature inspires our designs — and through this journal, we hope to share the stories of the landscapes, wildlife, and ecosystems that make our world worth protecting.

Thank you for being here.
